Some Catching Up to Do

Bear with me...sorry to post about past events. This is for my benefit since I can't seem to remember what happened over the weekend when I am asked about it on Monday.

Since this is quite a convenient way to journal....you are stuck with things of the past for now.
Happy to have our computer back up and running.

A good friend of ours sacrificed a night to come and help us get up and going again. It is amazing how much we depend on our computers.

One of these days maybe I will be "back to the future"

ha ha ha

Christmas Day

The kids woke up ecstatic because of anticipation of what Santa brought. They know they can't go to the living room until everyone is up and awake so it is usually pile on mom and dad in their bed. As soon as we were finished with the present thing Dave got dressed in his winter garb to go out and start diggin us out. Quite the snow storm!!! It took him atleast an hour so I was happy he was able to get out there and get started so that we could get to grandma's house.
Ali was pretty much awake all night long. I think she slept maybe two hours if that. I would tell a story about that if I knew that she didn't read this blog....however she does so I will have to save that for a hand written journal.
Zach gave Ali twin baby alives.... this was in hopes to help fill her baby hungry problem that she constantly has. She can feed them and change their diaper. We are going to have to make some cloth diapers or something because those little disposables that you can buy at the store for them are pricey. I think Zach's favorite item that he got was a batman, joker figurine and a few Star Wars figures too.

Another Favorite!...The kids also got a Wii which has been great quality family time together and FUN. Zach has this funny hop that he does when he is bowling. It is hilareous. He has a hard time if he is losing and I have noticed that Ali does too. The other day Zach was beating her at a game and she said, we need to turn this off. I hope my kids learn to be better sports. I told them that they need to say great job, now lets play again and see if I can do better. OR something like that.

One of our traditions is to go to Grandma Jeanne's house (Dave's mom) for breakfast. This year breakfast was at 9:00. It is so nice to have breakfast at grandama's house so we don't have to think about food. Just our little contribution of what we are suppose to take to share. We wake up and do our presents and then get ready to leave for the day. We go to Grandma Jeanne's house first then on to my parents house just down the street from Grandma Jeanne's.

We usually don't get home until around 6:00 or 7:00 in the evening. So we have to try and plan for the whole day. I make sure we have everything packed up so we don't have to come back home for something....which sometimes we still have to return.

The cousins watching Colby play one of his Nintendo DS games. They were entertained watching him play for quite some time. He did share, which was nice too. Notice my kids faces, they are holding their mouths the same way. Ha!

Christmas Parties & Family

We had so much fun with family this year at our different parties we had. Ali and Zach loved playing with cousins and doing fun activities.

At one family party Ali hogged the Karaoke machine. She really love that.

American Dog - Condo

Grandpa and Ali building Lexi a dog house on one of his days off.
They had a lot of fun looking at plans on the internet and deciding what the dog house would look like. Then they printed the plans they wanted and headed to Home Depot to make some purchases. As mentioned in our Christmas card. Ali told my dad that "we already have a hammer and nails so it will be free". She was so excited to make her dog a house. It is amazing too. It has about 2-3 inch thick insulation inside. Should be toasty and water proof.

They painted it Red, White and Blue cause he said Lexi is an All American Dog!

Houston We Have a Problem & Merry Christmas!

So - our computer was infected with the Internet Explorer virus that was on the national news last week. We are out of commission! So sad to not be able to read blogs and catch up with everyone - especially at this time of year. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your families.

I love Christmas and the whole meaning. Our Savior's Birth. My mom and I were out shopping a few nights ago and we passed a house that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS. It was a big banner that stretched across the front of their house. It made us chuckle - that really is it. What a blessing that he came to earth and was born for us. He lived for us, to show us the way, he died for us.

HE LOVES US! and knows each one of us personally. Why else would he do what he did?

I am so blessed with great friends, you mean a lot to me. Have a fabulous holiday. I hope that our computer will be back up and working properly soon. Until then - ;)

A few of our favorite Christmas songs are here on our blog. Ali's all time favorite is Mary Did You Know?
