Zach's First Day - Kindergarten

The day started out great. Zach was so excited!!
I think he is so cute. My boy is growin up.

This is in line waiting to go inside. If I had kept up on my blogging, I would have remembered what happened. I am going to have to ask him in the morning when he wakes up. He will probably know.

Inside we had some activities to do together.
It was a fun day. I did alright until I read the poem that the teacher gave all the parents when I got in my car. OOOPS - yip, some tears.

The end of the day he was so happy.
Here he is with Mrs. Colvin.

August 21st...Was a Great and Fun Day

We started out our day with the Oquirrih Mountain Temple dedication. It was so special to be with two of my most favorite people that I love so much - and being inside the temple for a dedication was a first for us. What a great experience. I hope Ali will always remember it.
When we got home, we had a birthday party for Ali...who turned 9 this year.
It was a fun party with: I had a little doggie, pin the nose on the puppy, a pinata and fun friends.
Our new neighbor jumped right in and made Ali a fabulous cake!
She was so excited when she saw it!! It turned out so cute and it was soooo good too.

Ella and Emily...cute lil pups

My sister Adrienne had surgery on her foot...she was a trooper in the house.

Some More Fun in Beautiful Alaska

Our best trip yet to Alaska! August 8th through the 11th
I loved this trip...it was short and sweet but loads of fun.
Dave wasn't to thrilled when they handed him keys to a PT Cruiser at the rental car agency.

A day on the ocean

A day on the Kenai River...the weather was gorgeous

In Homer we walked around and looked at the different shops.
This is a crab pot from the Time Bandit...Crab Fishing Series on Discovery Channel

Seward Alaska

The much sought after Ling Cod ---Oh they ugly...but sure are yummy.
The ocean was as smooth as a lake...every day we were there.

We caught some yummy "buts" :D

JUST HAPPY TO BE HOME!!

Kennecott Family Day

We were able to go to Kennecott Family Day again this year. It was fun. We climbed on all kinds of giant machinery and at the top by the visitor's center we were able to look over the edge and see Grandpa in his truck. He pulled over and got out to wave at us. We all thought it was pretty cool. Uncle Tony let me, Ali and Zach talk with Grandpa on the radio. Now that was cool!

This is what dad did while we were away. Now don't let him fool you....he does love that dog and cat. HA HA!

When Grandpa got home from his shift, we went to see him and tell him how much fun we had.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

We were able to go to the temple open house with our good friends Joanie and Brad.
So beautiful and a wonderful feeling inside....especially when you can share it with those you love.

Ali and Zach loved the chance to ride the cart our to our car instead of having to walk. A highlight of theirs.
