Blackfoot Idaho

HAPPY TIMES

We had a wonderful weekend on January 5th and 6th. We went to Blackfoot Idaho for a nice weekend visit and Colby was baptized and Jolie was blessed. We were worried about the weather, because there was a huge storm the morning we left. Once we hit ogden the roads were much better.

Colby picked Mr. Pizza as the place to go for dinner after his baptism. The kids had fun
playing pool.

and the alien arcade game (Even the BIG kids).

Jolie is growing so much. She had doubled her weight and is a little princess. I sure loved kissing on her every chance I got. Brett gave her an awesome blessing.

The kids had a blast in the pool at our hotel and we really had a nice time.

Grandma & Grandpa came to watch at the pool.

The rest of the family went bowling after Mr. Pizza.....but after swimming this was the end result for us, so we had to skip the bowling

Life so far in 2008

OK - So I am not liking the year 2008 so far. I am hoping that all the bad is happening the first month and isn't a sign of worse things to come. Life has been very hectic and crazy this month.
  • Last Thursday we got a phone call that my grandma had a stroke and was in the emergency room at the University Hospital. I left work as soon as I could and went with my mom up to the hospital. Poor grandpa hadn't had anything to eat all day so we went down to the cafeteria to get something for him. He felt so bad eating in front of grandma. He is diabetic so it was a must. Grandma couldn't eat until the next day because she had to do some more tests to make sure she could swallow with out choking or aspirating. The doctor's were able to help her and she won't have any long term effects this round. The only thing that is a little funny about this, was the morning of the stroke, my grandpa was talking to my grandma and she wouldn't talk to him so he thought she was mad and giving him the silent treatment. He was trying to figure out what he had done wrong. It wasn't that she wouldn't talk to him but that she couldn't. Then luckily her sister was prompted to call her and figured out what was happening during the phone conversation and 911 was called.
  • This week on Tuesday, I got a phone call at work that my sister's horse was down and she couldn't get her up. This is rather traumatic in our family because our horses are just like siblings to us. I left work to go and be with my sister and help with what I could. I mostly didn't want her to be by herself when the vet showed up. It will be about a month before we know if everything is alright.
  • Yesterday, another scare with my sister Adrienne who had a baby the 30th of October. We were called and told that she was on her way to the emergency room.
  • Not sure how much more my heart can take. I know that Our Father in Heaven watches out for us and he will help us through anything we face. I just don't want to face anything more for quite some time.
One of these days I will get caught up with photos of what has been happening. It has just been to crazy to do anything these past few weeks. Hope all is well with everyone!
