When I brought her home, Ali changed her name to Lexi or Lex for short. I think the name fits. Ali bonded with her the second she saw her. She would be with her 24/7 and loves to clean up after her and play with her. We will see how long that lasts. She nips and chews on things since she is a puppy so Zach loves to play with her but if she scratches him he is done for 5 minutes until the next time it happens.
She is really a great puppy so far. She plays and does all t
he fun things that a dog does and yet she is really quiet so far. Doesn't really bark, unless it is at the cat. She just doesn't understand that Simon doesn't like her one bit, and thinks that when he hisses at her and chases her with his hair up on ends that he wants to play with her instead of a clue that she better run away.
I am having some trouble with the potty training though, I really don't like that. She can hold it all night long, but if she has been outside for 3 hours and I open the door she runs right in the house and goes on the carpet. That needs to change fast or she might be finding her time mostly outside, which I really don't want. Any tips you have for me...greatly appre
ciated!
We love her and are happy to have her as a new addition to our family. Maybe that is the only way I would get a baby....just bring one home like I did a dog. Dave is starting to warm up to her and plays with her now. He wasn't so happy about the idea in the beginning. To bad I couldn't get away with that on a new baby Bliss. Ha ha ha

she is cute! i am glad she is fitting in so well with your family.
yes, just bring a baby home and see what happens....it would be interesting to see dave's reaction to that!
love the puppy, and isn't it true puppies are just as exciting as new babies. although (i know you may disagree right now) puppies are a lot easier than babies.
if you would really like i am sure i could lend you zeke for the day......he is just such a happy baby!?@?@
hey one idea that worked for us, when we got our dog she wasn't trained to go potty outside, so i wasn't going to allow and greg would of got rid of her so fast,so i had to stop that from happening quick, i would give her a treat every time she would go potty outside, so that is the only time she gets treats, and it seemed to work, she was one and a half though. Good luck having a puppy is like having a new baby though, they demand so much attention, hopefully she lets you sleep though the night, haha
Cute puppy! I took our now 11 year old lab to "kindergarten" and they taught us this. Don't leave water or food out, only feed and water at scheduled times. When she starts to sniff, put on a leash and take her to the same spot, give her a treat IMMEDIATLY (Even a piece of dog food) but do it as soon as she finishes, while she's outside. It won't take long before she alerts you- they learn much faster than humans. Once she's trained you can leave her food and water out for her.
Have fun, I agree she doesn't look like she has too much lab in her. I got a "free" dog that was supposed to be mostly lab, but he wasn't!
She's so cute! Sorry I got your text from the other night way late and didn't want to wake you up but I'm glad that you love the Chicken Bake as much as we do! It's easy and for whatever reason kids love it! hope things are going well for you guys! love you!
